Gucci x Dapper Dan capsule collection is finally here!

Following the success of their bespoke atelier last January, Gucci and Harlem-based tailor Dapper Dan have released a capsule collection. In the 80s and 90s, Dapper Dan became a leading light of the urban and hip-hop fashion movements during the 80's and the 90's. Famous for appropriating the monograms of fashion houses and applying them to streetwear, giving rise to logomania and becoming a go-to stylist to celebrities. Now with the trend returning to center stage, it only made sense for Gucci to collaborate with Dapper Dan himself.

The duo are releasing their street style-influenced collaboration, referencing the most recognizable Dapper Dan creations with a Gucci twist. Gucci’s signature GG logo can be found alongside their red and green stripes and embroidered dragons on jackets, shirts and jeans. Other dope accessories include bejeweled glasses, sneakers, backpacks and belt bags. The unisex collection, was shot by New York photographer Ari Marcopoulos, who took inspiration from 80s New York street style.

The Gucci x Dapper Dan collection is now available in Gucci stores and on the Gucci website.
